Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) is well known as one of the key enzymes involved in glycolysis. GAPDH is composed of four 30-40kDa subunits. The molecular weight for GAPDH is 146kDa. The GAPDH gene is constitutively expressed at high levels in almost all tissues. Because of this, GAPDH is widely used as a loading control for Western blots and protein normalization

Anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibodies clone 6C5 reacts with GAPDH from fish, frog, chicken, rabbit, mouse, rat and human tissue, no cross-reaction with GAPDH from yeast.

Detection of GAPDH. Western blotting (detects band at approx 36kDa, dilution range for WB 1:10,000), ELISA, Affinity purification, Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry.
